My consumer and B2B portfolios represent outcomes from across two decades where I've led and/or been a functional part of teams in digital, CPG, branding, and all forms of advertising. I started as a freelance designer, then began my advertising career as an art director and soon moved into creative leadership and writing. In every part of my journey, I have contributed as a strategic leader on brand and campaign projects, and guided workflows in digital, social content and studio production.
I've always been insights-led and adopt design-thinking, UX and other empathy-based approaches in my work, which is why I go further "upstream" than one might expect from a "creative" into the areas of business objectives and discovery. But I've learned from the creative legends that this is where good work begins. My unique strength is in that important transition between identifying a focused strategic point of view and leading creative people to embrace it so they start their journey informed and inspired.
I've garnered nearly 70 awards and inclusions in publications and have juried shows for outdoor, employer branding, and design and advertising. I even had the pleasure of judging the National Student Advertising Competition for US university teams. Recognition is always a well-deserved morale boost for clients and teams and, knowing the high standards judges and editors maintain, I am always honored by recognition as I see it as an important measure of quality.
