Electrolux

This global leader in consumer electronics came for our Phenom experience to build their global TA site. They had the basic framework of a site, and a ton of great content. But despite a team with a solid leader, two other capable TA resources and a Phenom implementation consultant, they really needed a production plan and help getting content ready for the site. This readiness involved a lot of copy editing and some writing, photography selection and optimization, and then onto page designs and content population. I brought my knowledge of Phenom, advisory for career site UX best practices and planning help, plus copywriting and art direction.

Phenom is a capable CMS platform and offers templated widgets with some customization, mostly for content styling. Clients often want interactive features that go beyond templated options. Electrolux wanted a map that showed their global footprint, but also offered segmented information about work being done at different sites, with the addition of number of employees. I love animation for web as you can "layer" information in a more compact space through interactions and avoid adding a lot of scrolling. Using a Phenom widget for code only, we created a javascript solution to meet Elux's request. Without our ability to create a single screen viewable interactive map, all this information would have required a full page of content to verbalize with text and static images.
