Diebold was challenged to feed their desired volume of social media talent content due to too few visual assets and a lack of long range plan. My agency's account team commenced on the bigger strategy to be implemented in the future, but we knew they needed to get the ball rolling in the interim, so I launched into building a library of posts informed by what I had available to me, such as their sector focus, mission, values, and likely talent interests such as flexible work schedules, work-at-home and women in tech.
I mined their past social activity, website and corporate communications for ideas, did a lot of writing for the visual's quick message, and the post captions, then had a design marathon. My recommended art direction was to go for bold, less complicated look than they'd previously done (less on-image copy), and to even have a little fun with holidays, major and minor. Also, bring some spontaneous messages that might not necessarily be ownable strategicall but relevant for the day and on-point with their desired TOV.
